Bio

The Italian coloratura soprano Albertina Del Bo began her musical training at the age of 7, studying piano and violin . She went on to attend the Conservatorio " Giuseppe Verdi " in Milano, first earning the Master Violin Diploma and then the Bachelor Diploma in Opera Theatre.

She then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Operngesang at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater " Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy " Leipzig, where she is currently pursuing with professor Caroline Stein a " Meisterschülerstudium " in Operngesang at the HfMT Leipzig. She participated in Master classes with Cheryl Studer, Christa Ratzenböck , Emma Kirkby , Peter Berne, Roberto Coviello.

 

Albertina has sung in numerous University productions both at Conservatorio “Giuseppe  Verdi” di Milano and at HfMT Leipzig. Favorite roles include: Serpina in “La serva padrona”, Barbarina in “Le Nozze di Figaro,” Liesgen  in “Coffee Cantate”, Bronislawa in “Der Bettelstudent” of C. Millöcker, Helene  in “Hin und zurück”, and Mrs. P in “The Man who Mistook his Wife for an Hat.”. 

 

In March of 2020 she made her debut at Oper Leipzig as the Contessa di Ceprano in “Rigoletto” at  Oper Leipzig. In June 2021 she made her debut as Königin der Nacht in “Die Zauberflöte” at Rudolstadt Theater. 

 

In the season 2021/2022 she sang Barbarina in “Le Nozze di Figaro” and Adele in “Die Fledermaus” at Theater Regensburg. In July she sings her role debut as Despina in “Cosí fan tutte”  at Schloss Hundisburg with the Junge Mitteldeutsche Kammerorchester.

From February until June 2023 she took part to the AsLiCo Operadomani tournée Die Zauberflöte, Il suono della pace singing Königin der Nacht at Bregenzer Festspiele and several Italian theaters, among them Teatro Sociale di Como, Teatro Grande di Brescia, Teatro Ponchielli di Cremona, Teatro Lirico di Milano and Sferisterio di Macerata.

In October she sang again the role at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet in Tirana.
